About this role
As the Lead Multimedia Designer at Tier 11, your time will be split between 3 core, overarching responsibilities: (1.) Design work for white-glove clients (the candidate will be a senior multimedia designer) (2.) leading/managing all the producers at Tier 11 (3.) Driving a culture of Creative Excellence agency-wide. You will report to the Creative Director, as the second in command of the Creative Department. The candidate for this role will have experience managing and leading creatives and has proven demonstration of creative excellence within the Direct Response marketing space.

Core Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding and experience in Direct Response Social Media Marketing and the associated creative needs to drive performance for clients (across notable social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, Google and Tiktok).
- Strong understanding of the latest international creative trends for Direct Response Social Media Marketing.
- Senior multimedia design capability (is a must) – excellent sense for typography and design. Proficiency with After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Project management experience. Excellent at time and personal management – highly organized.
- Proven experience in the leadership and management of creatives.
- Confidence in presenting – Ability to be client-facing to run onboardings + run training internally to 60+ people.
- Track record in communicating with and managing relationships with clients.
- Ability to communicate, write and read in English to a very high proficiency.
- (favored) Degree in Graphic Design, fine arts or related experience.
Core Roles & Responsibilities
- Design Work: ‘Hands-on tools’ design work for our most important white-glove clients + the coordination of creative onboardings.
- Supporting the Creative Director (as their ‘second in command’) with the leadership, management and pursuit of creative excellence across the entire agency.
- Leadership. You will be a strong leader that sets and upholds high creative standards and drives the agency towards creative excellence. You will drive a culture of a high performance team, this person is not afraid to have tough conversations and hold their subordinates accountable to meet established expectations.
- Management. Alongside your leadership, you will lead and manage all designers, they will report directly to you – responsibilities include: quality control, feedback & recognition, training and development, management of welfare/wellbeing and performance.
- You will act as the primary creative emissary at the agency..(people will look at you for guidance). You will be the creative brain of Tier 11 – working closely with stakeholders in other departments, you will educate and inform them on the latest ‘Direct Response focused’ creative developments/methods, all in the pursuit of agency wide creative excellence. You will be confident and will excel at running team/agency wide training sessions.
- Refine and improve creative processes – agency wide. You will be a hunter for problems and friction within the creative process – constantly looking for ways to innovate and improve the way we do business creatively (both within your immediate creative department and within wider-agency processes). You will bring order, efficiency and the delivery of quality across the entire creative workflow. You will be meticulous at designing and improving collaborative systems and SOPs, setting and maintaining high standards of creative quality.
- Creating a culture of collaboration – You will drive a culture of collaboration internally within the Creative Department and externally with other departments – ensuring that creative quality and client satisfaction is maintained to the highest standards possible.
- Creative Department Culture. This person will cultivate an environment where people feel empowered, have a strong sense of ownership, motivation and pride towards what they produce. You will work intimately with other departments leads to ensure that there is collaboration at both the management and lower, team level – acting as the driving force in creating a mindset, where creative, copy and messaging is regarded as an incredibly important capability.
- Creative Excellence. You will rigorously hold people accountable for their work – you will set and maintain a high standard of creative quality. You understands that “creativity takes time” – and will implement processes, hires and/or train to facilitate the capacity of members to deliver creative excellence within the Department. This person will place high priority on the improvement of “Direct Response” style creative quality, as a fundamental focus of improving creative excellence at Tier 11. you will set, manage, execute and QC a high standard of creative across the agency.
